Stupid Marking

When I heard about this way of marking through friends from another school, I thought that it was the dumbest way to mark. There is literally no logic to it! Every student wants to see how many right or wrong answers they got on their tests when they get their paper back. Not seeing if they got an A, B, C, D or E for their answer on an A, B, C or D question. I can’t believe that even if I get a question fully right it will only be worth maybe a C or D, that’s just crazy!

For instance if I happen to study really hard but only manage to get all C and D questions right and someone who doesn’t study at all happens to get the A and B questions right they will get a higher mark on their report card even though I did far better than them. It’s just completely confusing and unfair. Students will not know what’s going on, even after it has been explained to them, because it does not make any sense whatsoever. It is a total load of junk and is definitely not necessary to have as a way of marking. It should NOT be a way of marking at all!

I’m in grade nine and I would not like this to be in my next four years of high school life.
