Experience at QSA meetings

It is true that there have been many meetings run by the QSA for Physics and Chemistry teachers. I have attended all of the meetings in our area, and would say that much of the material was too late for proper implementation, and the person running the meetings did a very poor job in preparing us.

At the last meeting, only several months ago, there was a second person also running the meeting, and she did an excellent job. Until then, I had no real understanding of the course, and questions asked were rarely understood by the presenter, let alone answered.
The most difficult part has been in writing assessment, and there has been a noticeable lack of examples, let alone exemplars from the QSA. Often the first notice that we had that our assessment was not what was expected was at monitoring, 12 months into the course.
